I just spent the last few hours playing Endless Golf and I'm still trying to process my thoughts on it. On the surface, it seems like a super casual, relaxed game that's all about, well, golf. And it is, for the most part. The gameplay is pretty straightforward - you're presented with a never-ending series of golf courses, and you just keep playing hole after hole. It's not like there's a storyline or anything, it's just golf. But somehow, that simplicity is kind of addicting.

At first, I was a bit skeptical about the whole "endless" thing. I mean, how many different golf courses can you really have before it starts to feel repetitive? But the devs have actually done a pretty great job of mixing things up. The courses are all procedurally generated, so you'll never play the same one twice. And they're all set in these beautiful, serene environments that are just really nice to look at. I found myself getting lost in the scenery sometimes, just taking in the sights and sounds of the game.

The gameplay itself is pretty solid too. The controls are easy to pick up, and the physics engine is surprisingly realistic. I'm no golf expert, but it felt like the game was simulating the real thing pretty accurately. And there are some nice touches, like the way the ball interacts with the environment. For example, if you hit the ball into a sand trap, it'll actually behave like it's in sand - it'll slow down, and be harder to get out of. Little details like that make the game feel more immersive and realistic.

One thing that did start to get to me after a while was the lack of challenge or progression. Because the game is endless, there's no real sense of accomplishment or progression. You're not working towards anything, you're just playing for the sake of playing. And after a while, that can start to feel a bit empty. I mean, I'm not saying I need some kind of competitive multiplayer mode or anything, but it would be nice to have some kind of goal to work towards. Maybe some kind of leaderboard or daily challenge system would be a good addition.

Despite that, I still found myself having a lot of fun with Endless Golf. It's just a really relaxing, calming game to play. And I think that's what the devs were going for - it's not meant to be some kind of intense, competitive experience. It's just a game that you can play to unwind, you know? And in that sense, it's really successful. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for a casual, laid-back gaming experience. Just don't expect too much in the way of depth or challenge.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with Endless Golf. It's not a perfect game, but it's a great way to pass the time. And at the price point it's at, I think it's a total steal. If you're a fan of golf games, or just looking for something to play to relax, I'd definitely give it a shot. Just be aware that it's not going to be the most engaging or challenging game you've ever played. But sometimes, that's okay. Sometimes you just want to play something that's easy to pick up and put down, and that's exactly what Endless Golf is.
