fours colors Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last few hours playing Four Colors, and I have to say, it's been a wild ride. At first, I thought it was going to be one of those super casual games that you can just pick up and put down whenever, but it actually has a pretty surprising amount of depth to it. The concept is pretty simple - you're given a grid and you have to fill it in with four different colors, making sure that no two adjacent squares have the same color. Sounds easy, right? But trust me, it gets a lot harder than you think.
One of the things that I really like about Four Colors is how it starts off so chill and relaxing, and then suddenly you're like, oh man, I'm in way over my head. You'll be cruising along, thinking you've got the hang of it, and then you'll hit a level that just completely stumps you. And that's when the real fun begins - when you're trying to figure out how to get out of this impossible situation, and you're like, okay, think this through, think this through. It's really satisfying when you finally manage to solve it, too.
Now, I'm not going to lie, there are some things about Four Colors that can get a little frustrating. Like, sometimes you'll be working on a level for ages, and you'll think you've finally got it, and then you realize, wait a minute, I made a mistake like five moves ago. And then you have to start all over again, which can be pretty annoying. But at the same time, that's just part of the game, you know? It's all about trial and error, and it's not like it's trying to be some super serious, competitive game or anything. It's just a fun little puzzle game that you can play to pass the time.
I also appreciate that Four Colors doesn't try to be something it's not. It's not trying to be some big, flashy game with a million different features and modes. It's just a simple, straightforward game that does one thing, and it does it well. And that's really refreshing, you know? Sometimes I feel like games try to do too much and end up being all over the place, but Four Colors is just like, hey, I'm a puzzle game, and I'm going to do puzzles really well. And that's it.
As for whether or not I'd recommend Four Colors, I'd say definitely give it a try if you're into puzzle games. It's not going to blow your mind or anything, but it's a solid, fun game that's great for playing in short bursts. And it's not like it's going to take up a ton of space on your phone or anything, so you can just download it and play it whenever you feel like it. Just be prepared to get a little frustrated sometimes, because it's not always easy. But hey, that's all part of the fun, right?
Overall, I'm really glad I gave Four Colors a shot. It's not my new favorite game or anything, but it's definitely a fun little diversion that I'll keep coming back to. And who knows, maybe you'll get even more into it than I did - some people are really into puzzle games, and this one's definitely a good example of the genre. So yeah, if you're looking for something to play in your spare time, Four Colors is definitely worth checking out.
