I just spent the last week playing Mario 3D Shooter and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. As a huge Mario fan, I was excited to dive into a new game with my favorite plumber, but I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first. I mean, a 3D shooter with Mario? It's not exactly the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the series. But, I was determined to give it a fair shot and see what Nintendo had cooked up.

At first, the game felt a bit weird. The controls took some getting used to, and it was hard to adjust to playing a Mario game where you're not running and jumping all the time. But, as I progressed through the levels, I started to get the hang of it. The game's got a really cool art style, with bright, vibrant colors and some amazing level designs. The worlds are all based on classic Mario locations, but they've been transformed into these crazy, twisted versions of themselves. It's really cool to see the Mushroom Kingdom in a whole new way.

The gameplay itself is pretty solid. The shooting mechanics are tight and responsive, and there's a good variety of power-ups and abilities to keep things interesting. I loved using the fire flowers to blast through tough enemies, and the mushrooms gave me a nice boost to get to those hard-to-reach areas. The levels are all pretty challenging, but not so hard that they get frustrating. I found myself dying a few times, but it was always because I messed up, not because the game was being cheap.

One thing that did bug me a bit was the camera system. Sometimes it would get stuck on the wrong thing, or it would spin around wildly and make me feel sick. It's not a huge deal, but it did happen often enough to be annoying. I also wish there were more multiplayer options - the game's got a pretty bare-bones versus mode, and it's not nearly as much fun as some of the other Mario games. But, overall, the single-player campaign is where it's at, and it's definitely worth playing through.

As I got closer to the end of the game, I started to feel a bit of fatigue. The levels all started to blend together, and it felt like I was just doing the same thing over and over again. The final boss fight was a bit of a letdown, too - it was just a rehash of the same old pattern we've seen a million times before. But, despite those complaints, I still had a ton of fun playing Mario 3D Shooter. It's not perfect, but it's a great take on the series, and it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan.

Overall, I'd say Mario 3D Shooter is a solid addition to the Mario series. It's not going to revolutionize the genre or anything, but it's a fun, lighthearted game that's perfect for playing through on a lazy afternoon. If you're a fan of Mario, or just looking for something a bit different, I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot. Just don't expect it to blow your mind or anything - it's just a fun, casual game that's meant to be enjoyed.
