Professional Archerist Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last 20 hours playing Professional Archerist and I'm still trying to process my thoughts about this game. I mean, on the surface it sounds like a pretty cool concept - you get to be a professional archer, competing in tournaments and whatnot. But the thing is, it's not all it's cracked up to be. First of all, the graphics are pretty subpar. I know, I know, graphics aren't everything, but come on, this is 2023 and we're still getting games that look like they were made 10 years ago. The character models are all kinda...blocky, and the environments are super lacking in detail.

But, I tried to look past all that, because like I said, the concept is pretty cool. And at first, the gameplay is actually pretty fun. You get to customize your character, choose your own bow and arrow, and even create your own custom shooting style. It's all pretty neat, and the first few tournaments I competed in were actually really exciting. But, as I got further and further into the game, I started to realize that it's all just a bit too repetitive. You're doing the same thing over and over again - shooting at targets, competing in tournaments, and upgrading your gear. It's just not that engaging after a while.

One thing that really got on my nerves was the lack of a storyline. I mean, I know some people don't care about that sort of thing, but I like to feel like I'm working towards something, you know? In Professional Archerist, you're just kinda...existing. You're an archer, and you're competing in tournaments, but there's no real motivation or driving force behind it all. It's just a series of random events strung together, and it's hard to get invested in that. I found myself just going through the motions, competing in tournament after tournament, without any real sense of purpose.

Now, I will say that the controls are actually pretty solid. The shooting mechanics are pretty realistic, and it's satisfying to nail a bullseye from 50 yards out. But, even that gets old after a while. I mean, how many times can you shoot at a target before it starts to get boring? And don't even get me started on the multiplayer. It's just a bunch of people competing in tournaments together, but there's no real teamwork or strategy involved. It's just a bunch of individual players competing against each other, and it's not very exciting.

I think my biggest problem with Professional Archerist is that it just feels like a missed opportunity. With a bit more attention to detail, and a more fleshed out storyline, this could have been a really great game. But as it stands, it's just a kinda...meh experience. I'd say it's worth checking out if you're a huge fan of archery or something, but for the average gamer, it's probably not worth the time. I'm gonna keep playing it for a bit longer, just to see if anything changes, but so far, I'm pretty underwhelmed.

Overall, I'd give Professional Archerist like a 5 or 6 out of 10. It's not a bad game, per se, but it's just not that good either. With a bit more polish, and a more engaging storyline, this could have been something special. But as it stands, it's just a pretty average game that fails to really impress. Maybe check it out if you're bored, or if you're just looking for something to play in your free time, but don't expect to be blown away or anything.
