I just spent the last hour playing Run Forrest Run and I have to say, it's a pretty okay game. I mean, it's not like it's going to win any awards or anything, but it's a decent way to pass the time. The gameplay is basically just what you'd expect from a endless runner - you control Forrest as he runs through various environments, collecting coins and power-ups while avoiding obstacles. It's all pretty standard stuff, but it's executed well enough that it's still pretty fun.

One thing that I did like about the game is the way it incorporates elements from the movie into the gameplay. You'll see characters like Jenny and Lieutenant Dan popping up, and there are even levels that take place in iconic locations like the University of Alabama and the Vietnam War. It's clear that the developers are fans of the movie, and they did a good job of capturing its spirit. But despite all the positives, there are some things that hold the game back.
